Design of Post-installed Rebar to Fire Conditions
Fire is relevant to all rebar connections and an important characteristic when it comes to rebar design in Singapore. In the Eurocode framework, fire design is explicitly considered and the ETA allows the calculation of reduced bond strength through a reduction factor. We will be going through the behavior of reinforced concrete under fire, the general principles of fire design using EC2-1 and 2, ETA parameters affecting the design and solutions for post-installed rebar.
