Fire poses a threat to buildings and their occupants, causing massive damage to lives and property worldwide. Fires cause a detrimental lowering of resistance in structural and non-structural elements, causing cracks and deflections which are well beyond acceptable limits. Due to the unpredictable nature of fire occurrences, the appropriate design and choice of material is key to ensure adequate levels of safety. Eurocodes and European Assessment Document (EAD) have evolved over time to cover the design and assessment criteria for post-installed chemical mortar. Under the EN standard, fire design is explicitly mentioned in the actions & design.
