ASTM, EN, and BS – Decoding the differences between the firestopping codes and standards in Singapore

Singapore Audience

As a developer, architect, design consultant and installer of multistorey buildings here in Singapore, each of us has an important role in ensuring our projects are built according to Singapore Civil Defense Force’s Fire Code. Singapore’s Fire Code covers three well-known codes and standards: ASTM, EN and BS. Each of these code and standard are unique from each other and has differing characteristics, such as testing criteria and listing. Whilst the code and standard are explicitly mentioned, it is also important to understand under which context and scenario would a code fall short of the life and fire safety requirements. In this webinar, we will be going through the code and standard applicable for Through Penetration, Construction Joint and Perimeter Joint, and how each code and standard differs from each other.
