SOFA Method in Hilti Profis Engineering

Hi Hilti Team,

Does Hilti Profis Engineering web-based software have an extension to perform the SOFA method? What is the alternate method to analyze anchors in Hilti Profis Engineering, when the plate is not fully resting on the base material? Please suggest a method to solve this condition.

Thanks for posting your query.SOFA can be enabled from the anchor tab under installation from the PROFIS Engineering interface, snap attached for your reference. Further, when consideration of SOFA is essential, PROFIS Engineering prompts to select SOFA. In situations where the base plate is not fully resting on the base material and is placed at the edge, you can still model it in Hilti Profis Engineering. Using the SOFA method you can analyze the base plate with an overhang from the edge of the concrete.
