Removal of Plate Secured With HST-3
Our client wishes to remove and re-fit a bracket secured with HST-3 M10 anchors. Can this be safely done without fully removing the anchor or impairing the performance of the anchor? It is a safety critical installation.

Hi Sean,
Yes , this can safely be done . The nut can be removed without the bolt slipping back. It takes the hammer blow to remove the bolt from the sleeve. So if the bracket is carefully put on and then the nut is reinstalled and the torque is applied, the bolt should not move. The anchor has already been activated when you applied the torque for the first time and the re-torqueing is mainly just holding the baseplate where it should be without movement.
