It's important to emphasize that the determination of the load for proof load testing must be undertaken by the structural consultant or qualified engineer who holds responsibility for the project. To ensure that the appropriate proof load is established, we recommend that the engineer responsible for your project refer to the guidelines set forth in EN 1992-4. This standard provides valuable insights, particularly in regard to the recommendation of a proof load value that should be taken as 1.5 times the characteristic action.
