Suddenly the HIT-RE 500 V3 is not in the anchor options anymore. Is it phased out? Can we just replace HIT-RE 500 V3 with HIT-RE 500 V4? Thank you.
Hi Monelle,
Yes, RE500 V3 has been phased out with new RE500 V4 chemical.
For second part of your question, RE500V4 has different and better properties related to the bond strengths , so you CANNOT use RE500V4 instead to RE500V3 in the design.
So our suggestion will be, if you have RE500V3 stock at site, you can reach out to HILTI local team they will help you in achieving the design in that case.

Our concern is we have HIT-RE 500 V3 stock at site and we are immediately required to install one post-drill connection. But our calculation cannot reflect HIT-RE 500 V3 as this was removed from your software. So for the calculation, we will be using HIT-RE 500 V4, but in actual the chemical to be applied is HIT-RE 500 V3.
Kindly clarify if we can use HIT-RE 500 V3 even the design indicates HIT-RE 500 V4. What are the differences between these two chemicals?
