Flame spread and smoke development index of firestop materials
In terms of Surface burning characteristics, I see that some of Hilti products: CP 606, FS-ONE MAX has tested in accordance with ASTM E 84-96. However, I could not find any information of this test results for others firestop products: CP 648E, CP 636.
Does it mean Surface burning characteristics is only for sealant?

Hi Phi,
The ASTM E-84 is the standard test method for assessing the surface burning characteristics of building products to explore how the material might contribute to flame spread in the event of a fire.
CP 648E is a through penetration firestop and therefore, less relevant.
