Effect of welding on installed cast-in-channel

Is welding on anchor channel body and legs allowed? Any impact on the performance of the cast in channel? If site already performed the welding work onto the anchor channel leg, will it be acceptable? Any rectification can be done to safeguard the channel from being abandoned? Please advise
