Hi Dehe Zhang,

Eurocode 1992-4 Annex F and ETAG 001 Part 1 outlines some remedial measures for aborted holes.

There are two scenarios:

1) Filling in with non-shrinkage mortar: In Eurocode 1992-4 Annex F, aborted holes must be filled with a non-shrinkage mortar equal to at least the base material AND 40N/mm^2. On top of this requirement, ETAG 001 states that the new hole has to be the longer option of either 1 x drill depth or 5 x hole diameter.

2) Not filling with non-shrinkage mortar: In ETAG 001, the new hole needs to be 2 times the drill depth away from the aborted hole.

Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.
