ACI-318 Reference for thru-bolts statement for steel failure model only
Hi , is there anyone have ACI / ETA reference to design thru bolt / state that in thru bolt we only take into account the steel failure modelling

Hi Agra,
The through bolting design is not mentioned in any design standard. But as Hilti engineering judgement, we only provide the cross section resistance of the threaded bolts to the shear load applying on each anchor. This shear resistance is based on the mechanical properties of the selected threaded anchor. The concrete calculations needs to be done by the engineer as Hilti does not provide the calculations for the same.
