Anchor Installation Specialist Course -Supervisory

Specialist Trade Alliance of Singapore (STAS) is proudly working with Hilti to run the anchor installation specialist course to enhance our fellow construction colleagues  in the area of post installed fasteners that are commonly used to hold the heavy systems such as M&E pipings, prefab MEP modules, external gondolas and harnesses for façade installation and maintenance and other applications.

The course emphasize on the hands-on experiential training to the participants, reinforcing the classroom sharing, specifically designed for Contractor’s Site Supervisory Staffs, Engineers and Resident Technical Officers.

According to the EOTA (European Organization of Technical Assessment) and BS (British Standard) 8539:2012 Code of Practice (the current approved and reference document by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA)) , it is important that the installation of the post anchors are carried out by only trained personnel.

Poor or improper installations can result in safety risks, abortive, and rectification work, all of which have an impact on the project's time schedule, cost, and expected workmanship.

Participants will be equipped with the insights and hands on demonstration of the Pull Out Testing (POT) process and requirements by the certified trainer from Hilti.

To have a more holistic understanding, our Structural Professional Engineer (QP) will be sharing the fundamentals of anchor selection, inspection and basis of instructing the POT.
